Volunteer Position

TITLE: Social Media Admin

JOB SUMMARY:

The Social Media Admin will source digital content for LymeBrave Foundation's social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Working closely with the President, the Social Media Admin will research, evaluate, and cultivate content to be utilized online.

This is a volunteer-only position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for sourcing Lyme-related, factual content through online research with a focus on emotional well-being, healing, and support

  • Create and/or share inspirational messages for healing and support

  • Coordinate blog contributors and develop and create blog posts for the Being LymeBrave blog; share across social media platforms

  • Research and compile statistics and facts related to Lyme and other tick-borne infections

  • Prepare and schedule social media posts for distribution

  • Complete other duties as requested

  • Ability to work on a deadline (as necessary) and to plan work

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Proficiency with email and internet research

Ability to recognize reputable online sources

Experience managing social media accounts for a professional organization ideal

Above average oral and written communication skills

Experience developing content for an online audience

TIME REQUIREMENTS:

Approximately 4-5 hours per week
